Privacy policy: Finesse Marketing internal tools

Who this covers

This policy covers Meridian Personal Gmail and the other private tools Finesse Marketing (John Hewitt, Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia) uses to run its own office. The only person who uses them, and the only person whose account they access, is the business owner. They are not available to the public.

What the tool accesses

With the owner's consent through Google's sign-in, Meridian Personal Gmail uses the Gmail API to read messages, threads and attachments in the owner's own Gmail account and to create reply drafts in that account. It does not send, forward, delete, trash or change the labels of any message, and it does not change account settings.

How the information is used

The information is used only to help the owner manage his own affairs: finding bills, receipts, purchase and warranty messages and mail from people, filing the key facts in his own records, and preparing reply drafts he reviews and sends himself. It is not used for advertising, profiling or any other purpose.

Where it is stored

Mail is read on demand. Short summaries (sender, subject, date and stated amounts) and any attachments the owner asks for are kept on the owner's own computer. The sign-in credential is kept in the computer's protected credential store, never in plain files.

Sharing

Information is not sold, rented or shared with anyone. When the owner asks his AI assistant tools (Anthropic Claude, running under his own account) to work with a message, the relevant text is processed by that service on his instruction only, under its own terms. No information is passed to any other third party.

Google API Services User Data Policy

The tool's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Your choices

The owner can withdraw the tool's access at any time from his Google Account at myaccount.google.com/permissions, after which the tool can no longer read the account.
